Chilly Chickens

Micro and Pipette really, really LOVE having chilies. Especially Micro.
Its a good thing. I am a proud mommy, because chili for chickens keeps away infections, cold, and apparently chilies have some kind of chemical that keeps them strong and immune to germs.

So everyday I mix 3-4 chilies in their food and Micro will first them out (she is quite choosy. likes sweet fruits and well, chili), gobble them up, and then eat the rest of her food. If she likes it. If she doesnt, she will just give me this disappointed look and maybe eat a little bit.
Pip, on the other hand, will pick up the food 10 times, drop it 10 times, make a "chuck-chucking" noice ( which means he is calling his partner to come eat) and then he too will gobble up the food. Or sometimes he just scatters everything with his feet.

And like Pavlov's dog, they are  classically conditioned to have lunch at 3 pm, i think. Because, the moment its about to be 3, Pip will scream his lungs out.

Oh those babies.

Needed: Farm House.

If only Mike and Pip could get a house like this....with fellow chickens.
And grass.
And they guarantee of a long long life that ends with natural death.
If only.

Goodbye, vacations.

Now that I have pet chickens...my babies that I raise...in a city, I realised I will never ever be able to go on a holiday ever again.

Who'll take care of them? no one. And i  cant even trust anyone! What if someone eats them up? Or they catch a cold? Or they run out of water and food, and die??
I cant live with a nagging fear on a vacation!

What do i dooo?? I need a holiday so bad! I wish I could find a big farm with meadows for them to run around, and fat worms to eat. And the guarantee that they will not be killed.
How I wish!!

:'(

I miss vacations.
But I love them too much.
Help.

Lets roll, and stretch and bask.

Micro and Pipette are loving the tub of saw dust and cut hay that they have in their house. They roll in it with utter joy. And stretch, and sleep on it. Or just puff up. Never knew two chickens could be so ADORABLE.

The Pip Dance.

When i lean over and talk to Pip, he dances for me. Clockwise, anti clockwise and an 8 figure.
Oh that munchkin!!
